I felt totally relaxed and confident with everything explained to me prior to my anaesthesia by Dr Uncles
He is a leading professional in his field of expertise and shows a true interest in the welfare and recovery of his patients
I have had many operations over the years and found his approach was second to none

I was extremely anxious having my operation due to past experience. Dr Uncles was great at listening . He explained everything taking into account my concerns. The procedure was so relaxed due to his kind manner. Nothing was to much trouble. I thank him greatly as I woke up happy with no anxiety about future visits to hospital.
Himself and team were professional and compassionate .
As far as negatives I have none as I was given the best treatment I could wish for.

I first met David when he came to my room as I was getting ready for the operation. He introduced himself and described his part in my procedure. Soon after, in the waiting room of the operating theatre He appeared again and we had a friendly, general talk as he prepared and attached the hypodermic needle to my hand. He put me at ease along
with several other staff so that any apprehension I might have had was dispelled. I am not a nervous person anyway but there was a lot of reassurance.
Also, when I woke up afterwards and returned to the ward, I was surprised how quickly
the anaesthetic wore off and by the evening of that day I could not fell any effects at all.
I was very satisfied with the whole experience.

Dr. Uncles explained fully what was going to happen during the procedure and afterwards visited me to check all was well. He took time to answer the questions I asked him about the operation.

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
